I get by with a little help from my friends :)

I took the initiative today to write a better CV, I succeeded and its available online and in pdf format. I emailed anyone who had my old one and gave them the new one. So if you need Linux deployment in Ireland or have some development work on any platform (or you can think of something better for me to do) drop me an email. I could do with the work so feel free to make proposals ill take anything into consideration. Thanks to everyone who helped me out.

You’ve typoed your domain name, so the link to your writing samples is broken…

      It should be ok now.

Just cleared my cache and refreshed, still broken here.

I tested it myself and its working now. It may be still broken in planet ubuntu because that refreshes the rss every hour. Try it on the page here.

Weird, I just fetched it with wget from a command line this morning (so as to avoid Chrome’s cache entirely).

            gavin@elgac-laptop:~$ wget cv.shanefagan.com
            –2010-04-10 08:47:18– http://cv.shanefagan.com/

            gavin@elgac-laptop:~$ grep shanegfagan index.html
Other skills: Writing documentation (docbook), articles and blogging. Writing samples on here. Gnome (desktop) marketing team.

I wonder if my ISP is doing some sneaky upstream transparent caching, that would be somewhat disappointing given that part of the reason I chose them was the fact they have a “for geeks” attitude and I thought they’d avoid stuff like this (I have bad memories of NTL’s terrible upstream caching systems of old…)

I should point out that it seems to only be the online version that points to “http://shanegfagan.com” (note extra G), the PDF version seems OK.

Fixed now, I didnt notice the typo. Thanks.

    Hey Shane,

Check out my CV here: http://www.interesting.co.nz/resume.html

It’s embedded in the page, just scroll down a bit. It’s been fine-tuned over a number of years. I think it’s quite good as an example to build off. :)

Very nice, mine is quite new but im fixing it up in stages I just wanted to get the info up there.

  4. TGM says:
    Firefox 3.6.3Windows 7

Development experience: “Some code examples here” has no hyperlink.

What was it that Linus said about all bugs being shallow? :)

Wow nice catch I missed that.
