I was playing about with docky (its based from gnome do but its for window management) so I put it in gnome-shell for the window management. Have a look I also have the ubuntu netbook launcher too.

It wasnt a netbook it was my normal laptop with the netbook launcher installed. Although it did stress my laptop out a bit

What was performance like with all that stuff running? Was it a nice interface to use and more importantly are you still using it?
I have a top of the range graphics card in mine so performance was good. Id hate to see it on anything worse. I was using it until open office crashed and mutter couldnt force quit. So I dropped back to panel but still kept docky and the netbook launcher.
