Gnome-Shell

Ive been using Gnome-Shell for a week now and I have to say im quite impressed so far.
Odd though that they are after changing the desktop effects around to something one might see on star trek.
Thats just a little problem I have but its quite small. I love that they use the super key to open the activities screen because at the moment it is just a waste of space in Gnome Desktop. As well in the activities screen the search bar to find the activities you want to do is incredibly slow. More than likely though the issues im having will be sorted out at when it is included in gnome 3.0.

Its weird though, I still think the two panel thing needs to be revamped slightly. The resolution on most laptops is quite small so id like almost a Ubuntu netbook remix solution. I think if we add to the top panel the bar that has the minimise, the maximise, the quit and the title of what the window, we could save on space for smaller screens. I dont think that is quite a priority but I think I would look nice. Im saying this because the new top panel in Gnome-Shell is thicker than the normal Gnome-Panel one and it does reduce the size of the windows.

All in all im quite impressed and im looking forward to see what the finished product looks like.
Also I cant wait to see how the different distros deal with the change.
Its an exiting time for gnome desktop.
Here are a few screenshots
