I was complaining to the mobile companies in Ireland that supply mobile broadband and I googled mobile broadband ubuntu and didnt get a section on ubuntu help. Since it works out of the box and is quite a great feature I was quite surprised by it.
I think we need a section to show just how easy it is to set up. I set it up for my mother a few months ago when 8.10 came out and I did it with no trouble. I was just surprised by it and think it should be added.
Update: 3 ireland got back to me and said that they would pass the info on about mobile broadband in ubuntu 8.10 or later. Doesnt really mean much but its slight progress.
Update 2: It is in the help section for 9.04 which is great.
Update 3: O2 also got back to me and said they would pass the info on to their website team. Again didnt say they would add ubuntu to the list of operating systems but they at least know which is progress.
